Challenging
the construction industry

In 1987, chairman Lee Hwan-Geun founded the Daerung construction,
a private business, and built factories in the Banwol
and Sihwa industrial complexes to strengthen
the construction industry. After that,
the company was converted into a corporation
in 1994 and it started as a full-fledged comprehensive
construction company.

A new trend,
"Knowledge industry center"

Chairman Lee Hwan-Geun believed that the competitiveness of
small and medium-sized businesses was his own unique ideas.
When the Seoul digital industrial complex was being built,
he came up with a new solution called
‘knowledge industry center’ (apartment-type factory)
In 1997, Daerung construction company completed
the first phase of Daerung techno town,
which became the birthplace of the knowledge
industry center in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu,

The first phase of Daerung techno town was successful,
with excellent location conditions, cutting-edge infrastructure, and various financial benefits.
As large number of leading companies in the high-tech industry
move into Guro industrial complex which is the center of the manufacturing industry,
it became the starting point for transforming into a hub for Korea’s high-tech knowledge industry.

domestic market
with quality
management

Starting in 1997,
the knowledge industry center of Daerung
records the industry's best growth rate
and performance every year.

The foundation of its growth was the philosophy of chairman Lee Hwan-Geun who valued quality above all else.

Daerung further improved its quality by conducting everything from real estate development, construction, sales, operation and management in-house. With a solid financial structure that does not open current account or trade bills, it has overcome the recession of the real estate and IMF, and finally, it was recognized as a blue-chip construction company.

Daerung's constant growth
in the construction
of the knowledge industry center,
which was also challenged by numerous companies,
was the result of increasing the value
of tenant companies and
faithfully reflecting their needs.

As a result of the company’s efforts,
Daerung's brands "Daerung Techno Town"
and "Daerung Post Tower" have successfully
completed more than 30 rounds (as of 2023)
and have established themselves
as luxury brands of the Korea's leading
knowledge industry center.

the creation of G Valley,
'Daerung'

The driving force behind the growth of G Valley
(formerly known as Guro Industrial Complex),
a manufacturing factory village in the 1970s,
developing into a high-tech industrial complex with
an annual production scale of 14 trillion won
in just half a century was because of
the knowledge industry center

The knowledge industry center of Daerung,
which has led the revival of the G Valley,
